Probably Firefox unless you can notice an older version of Safari or Chrome which still supports Snow Leopard. Maybe even Opera?

Snow Leopard OS Ten.vi.viii is a very old operating system. If you use Safari, that is tied to the operating organization an cannot be updated. Firefox will run on OS X.half dozen and is probably the best option at this stage. Os X.6. Os X.7 and OS X.eight are no longer supported by Apple tree or Firefox, just will work with no future updates. Accept a read of this on downloading and installing Firefox:-

Technically speaking this is a September, 2006 computer. In its mean solar day this was a summit of the line computer. Merely of course now it's about a nine.5 year's old.
The newest Mac OS information technology can run is 10.7.5. It's now running 10.6.eight...and the browsers for Bone 10.8 (two OS versions newer than 10.vi.8) are pretty much out-dated.
This doesn't mean this computer doesn't have any life left in it. Simply with OS 10.7.5...max RAM (4gig) installed...and the newest browser that it can run...you volition still run into the occasional webpage that will not load (getting more than numerous every solar day)...or allow you lot to do certain things.

How-do-you-do merely picked up an iMac 24" from a friend with Mac Os X 10.6.eight what is the all-time browser for it.
You tin't update to a browser for Os X 10.6 that is perfectly modern, but y'all can get pretty close.
The erstwhile version of Safari, which came with your Mac, is no longer completely stable, it's outdated, and it can't exist updated.
Personally I've switched to Firefox version 48.0.2 every bit the default browser on my old iMac running Bone X 10.6.8. Y'all can download that older version of Firefox from hither:
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/48.0.2/
This version is quite modern. I'm very happy with information technology.
Yous tin can too download the very latest version of Wink Player, to employ with Firefox (to play animated Flash content), and it will work perfectly:
https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
I'm also told (just tin can't personally verify) that an older version of the browser iCab (version five.2) works nicely in OS X 10.6:

Thank you to all contributors for all your help. I've updated Firefox to the latest version. It's a shame Apple don't back up older versions.
Recall this is a 2007 estimator (10 years old). That'due south very old for a computer.
- Apple's definition of "vintage" is 5-7 years erstwhile.
- Apple'south definition of "obsolete" is greater than 7 years.
It can certainly still get enough done. Only putting things into perspective.

Randy: Thank you for the link to the Flash upgrade. Likewise using Firefox 48.02. Videos were getting impossible to lookout, very scratchy, etc.
If I upgrade, I would have to buy the latest version of my pcb layout software, so I'm holding on as long as I tin.

Wow, never looked at Osmond, though I take a friend that uses it.
I accept been using McCad PCB-ST since '89. I recently emailed back and forth with one of their software guys, trying to understand pad stacks. He couldn't believe PCB-ST 2.5.0.27 would work on 10.6.viii (such an old auto).
Likewise, I use the drawing program in AppleWorks 6.2.nine, though information technology is getting a little buggy. I empathise it volition get away if I upgrade.
...
Also, I use the drawing program in AppleWorks half-dozen.ii.9, though it is getting a little buggy. I understand it will go away if I upgrade.
I highly recommend that you stop using AW (AppleWorks) for creating drawings, that you move to a more modernistic replacement, and that you lot convert all of your existing AW drawing documents into a more modern format *immediately*.
The problem is that AW has been discontinued for years now, and translators for AW file formats are becoming scarce. You need to translate your documents before translators for them become extinct. Already AW's cartoon format is the hardest of the AW formats to observe translators for. As far equally I know, only certain versions of EasyDraw tin be used to interpret them into something more mod.
Here is a detailed guide for moving past Appleworks:
http://rfwilmut.net/notes/aw/page1.html
The App Store version of EasyDraw is 64-bit, costs $xxx, and does NOT import legacy formats such equally AppleWorks.
The 32-bit version, EasyDraw Retro, is even so available for $95 straight from the developer'due south web site. It DOES support legacy formats.

Tutorial on converting AW drawing files:
http://www.eazydraw.com/ezdGraphics/movies/AppleWorksInstall.mov
There is a free demo of EasyDraw that you can download, only I don't know if it includes AppleWorks translators.

Ok, payment sent for eazydraw with transmission. I tried using the $20 version a couple years ago but couldn't get into information technology.
